Pastor Malcolm Widness

Pastor Malcolm was called to the First Baptist Church in Derry in August 2011. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and grew up in Elwood, on Long Island.  His parents were Christians and often brought him and his sister and brother together for evening Bible-reading and prayer.  He was educated at the College of Wooster in Ohio, and earned a Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Massachusetts. Before becoming a pastor, he spent many years in the software/IT recruiting field. He has a son and daughter and 3 grandchildren.
